Questions Round
The following details the questions round.
Other rounds have more or less the same sequence.
2.1 Question Distribution
-
Questions are prepared in advance.
-
There are many questions,
enough for T teams times R rounds of play.
At least 100, preferably 200.
-
Each question may identify a single ROLE (artist, curator, etc).
That role must respond and thus perform the answer.
If the team does not have the role, they forfeit.
-
The question proposes a selection of answers,
including "none of the above" in which case the
answer must be invented.
-
The answers supplied could all suggest negative points
to be awarded if they are used ....
-
The topic should be polemic, the answer worthy of performance.
-
There should be no duplicate questions.
-
In each round, questions should be distributed to the team,
one question for each team.
One idea is to put printed questions in blown-up balloons.
2.2 Interlude
-
Some period of time is given for
preparation of the answer / performance.
Say 3 minutes.
-
During this time, there can be an interlude performance:
-
Video
-
Musical
-
Fight
-
WWIII.
-
The interludes must be prepared well in advance!!!!
-
The interludes must be rehearsed!!!!
-
Distraction is ok.
2.3 Presentation
-
The gong sounds.
-
All teams must pay attention.......
-
Each team presents...
-
One team after the other.
-
Presentation to the audience.
-
One team member reads out the question.
-
Team member who holds that role performs the answer.
-
Applause! Applause!
-
MC says to audience: "think about it ... how many points?"
-
Stress the team value.
-
Interjections and general rudeness allowed....
2.4 Calculation
At the end (or during each answer),
have to allocate points to each answer.
Many methods are possible:
-
Panel of judges? Number cards, 1-9.
-
Audience by thumbs up or thumbs down.
-
By Dictat.
Machine to allocate points does so according to Player,
not according to team.
The Art Selling Index is updated....
-
The Index has one line per team.
-
Each line should go generally UPWARDS.
sometimes downwards...
-
It mimics the graphs of the economy
as shown on TV!!!!
(stock exchange indices).
2.4 Next Round
And then go back to the beginning of the Phase,
to start another round.
After enough Rounds, the Phase is terminated and
the Prize Phase is started..... Onto Phase 3!
